Hi Friends - we now have a 2nd pulse oximeter for church use in case more than one person is sick with COVID-19 at the same time. Praying that we don't get to that point, but want to be prepared just in case. The pulse oximeter will help people detect low oxygen levels and get to the hospital before becoming critically ill.

Hi Friends - some of the latest data on COVID-19 shows that part of why people are dying is that they are unaware of their low oxygen levels. By the time they get to the hospital, it's sometimes too late. Mark and I have purchased a pulse oximeter for our church to use. If anybody you know gets sick, it can be used to monitor oxygen levels from home. This will help catch worsening illness and the need to go to the emergency room much earlier. Hi Friends - both Pablo and Victoria have lost their jobs due to COVID-19 lay offs. Victoria works as a professional photographer and is offering portrait sessions for $50 (she'll email you all the digital files). One of the most meaningful photos in our family collection is of my grandma's family during the Great Depression. They lost their home, were living on bread and gravy, and didn't even have money to buy stamps and write to family members for help. My grandma said that in spite of all this, my great-grandma in her strong faith never once turned away anyone offering to work in exchange for a share of their bread and gravy. When my grandma showed me the picture, she said, "God got us through that time." Although we usually associate taking pictures with happy occasions like birthdays, graduations, and holidays like Christmas, it's also important to preserve the memory of hard times. One day, you could be like my grandma and showing the photo to a younger generation with testimonies of how God got you through this. She hopes to scheduled several sessions on the same day to avoid multiple trips to Los Angeles from where she's currently living in Lancaster. Hi Friends, We had planned to go camping during spring break next week, but the campsite closed. Our plan B is backyard camping. The weather forecast calls for rain during our original camping dates, so we're hoping to camp Friday and Saturday night. Does anybody have a shade tent that we could borrow?
