Youth Ministry

The Church of the Redeemer Youth Group serves middle-school and high-school teenagers from our local community in South Los Angeles. Our mission is to make disciples of youth in our neighborhood by loving God, loving each other, and loving the youth so that the Kingdom of God will come for our joy.

We have a team of adult volunteers who provide Christian mentoring, weekly Bible study, and tutoring for youth in our neighborhood. Our goals are to nurture faith and godly character, and to develop leadership for the local church, community, and beyond. In addition, we also focus on supporting our youth in their educations through monthly homework nights, tutoring, as well as an annual College Knowledge series.
Throughout the year, we have special events that include retreats, college visits, beach trips, game nights, and other fun activities that help us to enjoy time together and grow deeper as a community. We also use the creative arts to help youth reflect on their lives, to share their stories, and to give glory to God for His work in their lives.
If you or your child would like to get involved, please contact us.
