Weekly Announcements: 5/18/2012
- Retreat Registration Deadline is THIS SUNDAY, MAY 20th: May 20 is the last day to sign up to go to the church retreat! Turn in your registration forms and deposit to Kat Louie. If you haven't turned in your $20 non-refundable deposit to Kat, yet, please do so to save your spot. The remaining amount for the registration fee is due by the first day of camp. If you have questions, see Kat at church.
- Church Lunch & Fellowship Time: The Youth Group will host a lunch this Sunday, May 20th after the church service. Also, the youth are headed on a summer service/missions project and there will be an optional fundraising/donation box at the lunch. Make a contribution if you'd like, but enjoy the food and fellowship either way!
- Congregational Meeting: The church congregational meeting will be this Sunday, May 20th at 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Hume/Yu house. This meeting's focus will be to vote on the church budget and leadership positions. Childcare will be provided.
Housing for Summer Splash Volunteers- June 24-29Excited to show some COR hospitality? A volunteer team from Christian Assemblies Church is returning for the second time to partner with our church in outreaching to the community. They will be running sports and art camps for children K-6th, supporting family learning workshops, and beautifying the community by doing various work projects. They will need breakfast and a place to lay their sleeping bags. Please contact Keo Booker if you are interested.
- Adventures Ahead is seeking volunteers: They are seeking volunteers who want to be a part of our new robotics program for 2nd-6th grade students. If you enjoy working with kids, are patient and encouraging, and like to problem solve, this may be a perfect fit for you! If you want to explore ways that you can get involved, contact Lauren Tigrett or check out one of our Robotics Saturdays - every other Saturday starting May 19 through June 30, 10am-12pm at Adventures Ahead.
- Retreat Scholarships: As a church family, we would love to see everyone who wants to go be able to attend the church retreat! Please consider giving to the retreat scholarship fund. There will be a basket at the Welcome Table for your donations. Cash is welcomed and checks can be made payable to "Church of the Redeemer" with "retreat scholarship" in the memo line.

The cost for the camp is now $145 for adults and youth and $85 for children ages 3-12. There is a $20 deposit and the remaining cost is due when you arrive at the retreat. - Women In Leadership Seminar - RESCHEDULED - Come and explore this important topic for missions and church leadership. Pastor Kevin will be leading this examination of various Bible passages and church traditions. It promises to be a rich time! The seminar has been rescheduled to Sunday, May 27th at 2-5:30 pm. Please RSVP to Sarah Stoker or sign-up at the Welcome Table at church.
